Little Pieces of Falling

(Acoustic Version)

My first song composed on guitar! I’ve come back to playing acoustic guitar after a 20+ year break, and I’m smitten. This recording welcomes my new Martin acoustic!

This one is just on YouTube for now, while I prepare a version for the streaming platforms.

Little Pieces of Falling (Acoustic Version)

by Lindsay Isaac-Lalla

And I have jumped, jumped, jumped

Off the edge of this cliff

Leapt from solid rock

And stable ground

And I have found, found, found

Found myself in freefall

Before checking in to see

How far’s the ground

No wonder it’s so loud in here

Infinitely falling into myself

How many mes am I hearing

All at the same time?

I’m trying to keep space for

Who I was and

Who I am and

Who I will be

All at the same time

Looking down, down, down

It all seems so far away

All these little pieces

Of me falling

I hear the wind, wind, wind

Rush into my ears

I’m answering my heart

To find my calling

I’m extra alive now

I’m feeling it all now

I found my strength

Announcing all my dreams

To myself

All at the same time

But infinite falling is

Actually flying and

Here I am falling and

That means I’m flying

All at the same time

And I have jumped, jumped, jumped

Off the edge of this cliff

Leapt from solid rock

And stable ground

And I have found, found, found

Found myself in freefall

Before checking in to see

How far’s the ground
