I am honoured to create and live in Tkaronto, now known as Toronto, which in Mohawk means ‘where there are trees standing in the water’.

For thousands of years it has been the traditional land of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, the Sendat, and the Wendat peoples, and continues to be the home of many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.
